Mark Hobson, CEO of Executive Networks Media, said: "It is gratifying to note that even more companies than last year have broken through to being singled out as top line service providers in this year's Computerworld Malaysia Customer Care Awards.  As well as a 50 percent increase in winning companies, we noted a higher level of engagement from end user enterprise IT leaders who took a deep interest in detailing the quality of care given to them consistently by the winning ICT service vendors here. The winners have pushed the bar for customer care even higher."

"IDC's annual Malaysia ICT Top 10 predictions for this year was the forecast that Malaysia will cross the US$10 billion IT spending mark, which should create strong local opportunities with the emphasis on helping clients achieve their business goals," said Computerworld Malaysia Editor, AvantiKumar. "One of the most important ways to stand out in an increasingly competitive ICT service provider arena is by having your customers praise your service and professionalism. The Computerworld Malaysia Customer Care award winners have continued to push the envelope in providing top care for their customers."

 How Customer Excellence is rated

In the first quarter of 2014, as in the previous seven years, more than 3,000 of Malaysia's most progressive information executives were invited to participate in the exercise of rating, on the scale of 0 to 10, the performance of their ICT solution providers and partners in delivery of services at every stage of a given technology deployment-running from early stage consulting through complete implementation, user testing, and continual maintenance, support and process enhancement.

Their responses were gathered, analysed and audited by regional market analyst house Executive Networks Research -which is the research arm of Executive Networks Media, the publisher of Computerworld Malaysia-for the highest accuracy of results possible. The ICT vendors with the highest scores across all evaluation areas in their respective categories won and entered the annals of Computerworld Malaysia's CCA history.

Executive Networks Media is the publisher of the region's leading media brands dedicated to covering and supporting the information and communications technology, ICT, industry (CIO Asia, MIS Asia, Computerworld Singapore, Computerworld Malaysia, Computerworld Philippines and BankITasia), the producer of events devoted to the communities they represent, and the owner of a research consultancy (Executive Networks Research) dedicated to studying technology industry developments as well as technology deployment trends across Asia.
