Malaysian working professionals are invited by Japanese ICT solutions firm Fujitsu to apply for a scholarship to attend a multi-site leadership programme, the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge Programme, which covers four countries - Japan, Hawaii (US), Thailand and Singapore.

Fujitsu Malaysia president Charles Lew said the three-and-a-half month long leadership management certification programme is offered by the Fujitsu-Japan-America Institute of Management Science (Fujitsu-JAIMS) Foundation.

The programme is designed to train students in the knowledge creation process and to develop leadership and management techniques for potential business leaders in Asia, said Lew. "The programme aims to nurture innovative leaders to have global perspectives that are applied with local knowledge, focusing on business insights on how to capture the essence of the situation, to exercise good judgment, and to take action within the changing context of management."

"In light of the expansion of business in Asian countries in recent years, the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge Programme serves as a perfect platform for working professionals from the Asia Pacific region to learn proper leadership techniques from both theoretical and applied perspectives," said Lew, adding that this year's programme also featured a Knowledge Leadership Training Course by Dr. Ikujiro Nonaka, who is ranked as one of the "Top 20 Influential Business Thinkers" by the Wall Street Journal.
