Revolution Analytics is opening a Singapore office, announced the commercial software provider on 15 August.

Revolution Analytics is a software provider which services the open source R programming language. The open source product R has a community of about two million users, according to the statement.

The Asia Pacific headquarters based in Singapore will develop next-generation cloud-based analytic services.

The expansion of Revolution Analytics into Singapore is supported by the Infocomm Development Authority [IDA] and various Singapore government agencies, the company announced.

Revolution Analytics also announced collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic's [SP] Centre for SME Infocomm Resource [CSIR] to train SP students on the use of analytics.
