German enterprise applications firm SEEBURGER has opened its regional headquarters in Malaysia as part of its Asian expansion plans, it said.
Speaking on 13 August 2012, SEEBURGER APAC regional director James Hatcher said Malaysia, for example, stands out as the regional ideal market hub. "Malaysia shows its leadership in the area of data security with its impending Info Security Management System Certification enforcement, expected in 2013."
"We believe that as the country's cyber security baseline for the Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII) sectors in Malaysia, this government-lead compliance initiative will be an important impetus for organisations to look into their info-security systems - and this is why business integration and MFT comes right into the picture," said Hatcher.
The company provides enterprise solutions that range from managing data communications to data sharing integration. Its unified platform for secure business-to-business and managed filed transfer (MTF) - SEEBURGER Business Integration suite - has won the Drummond Certified status for interoperability and the company has successfully completed the new SHA-2 (Secure Hashing Algorithm) Optional Test Profile for government and industry users requiring stronger security than provided by the current AS2 standard.
Hatcher said that the MFT market has grown rapidly in recent months as enterprises demand a single unified solution to manage moving mass enterprise application data efficiently across the enterprise, WAN (wide area network), via the Internet, to partners, suppliers and service providers' networks.
As well as being a global certified SAP partner, the company has local partnerships, he said. "In Malaysia, the SEEBURGER local partners are Time Engineering and Datamation - both of which will concentrate on providing SEEBURGER's flagship Business Integration Suite (BIS) to the local industries."
Established in Bretten, Germany in 1986, SEEBURGER has more than 8,800 customers in 15 industries in 50 countries, which include recognised brands such as Siemens, Bosch, Osram, and Volkswagen.
