Mr. Gerry Chng, Partner, Ernst & Young Advisory Pte Ltd

Gerry Chng is a Partner with Ernst & Young’s Advisory Services Practice and has over 12 years of experience in IT risk management and information security consultation. He heads up the Advanced Security Center in Singapore, one of four global Advanced Security Centers specializing in Attack & Penetration Testing, Infrastructure Vulnerability Assessments, IT Risk Management, and IT Governance. His core specialization is in the area of web application security and IT Governance, where he frequently advices clients on application security issues as well as organization on the effective governance of information systems.

Gerry is also the Information Security leader for Ernst & Young's Far East Area practice, and he holds CISA and CISM certifications, and is also a certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. Gerry is a regular speaker at the annual Computerworld Security forum and has been invited to speak at several other conferences such as the Internet Trust Symposium hosted by MSCTrustGate, Cisco Security Summit, Banking Vietnam 2008 Conference & Expo at HCMC on “Global Information Security Trends” and events hosted by the ISACA, Singapore Chapter. In these conferences, he delivers presentations on the recent trends in security attacks, what companies should do to protect themselves against such threats and how companies should manage information security in today’s environment.


Mr. Tee Chun Meng, Manager, Ernst & Young Advisory Pte Ltd

Chun Meng is a manager with Ernst & Young IT Risk and Assurance Services practice with over 8 years of experience in IT security and risk management. He specializes in the development and implementation of security frameworks and architectures, and have assisted our clients with their security management and compliance effort. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Chun Meng headed the security management function at one of the Government agencies for almost 3 years.

Chun Meng is currently holding security qualifications including Professional Diploma in Infocomm Security, CISA, CISSP and SABSA Chartered Foundation Architect. In addition, he is also trained in Enterprise Architecture and is certified in The Open Group Architecture Framework 8.


Adli Abdul Wahid, Vice President, Cyber Security Responsive Services, CyberSecurity Malaysia

Adli Wahid is the Vice President of Cyber Security Responsive Services at CyberSecurity Malaysia where he provides technical and strategic leadership to critical services such as Cyber999, Malware Research Centre and Digital Forensics. He has a vast experience in setting up computer security incident response teams and designing cyber security exercises.

Adli is also the Head of Malaysia CERT (MyCERT). He is actively involved various global computer security initiatives such as the Forum of Incident Response Teams (FIRST), the Asia Pacific CERT (APCERT), the Anti-Phishing Working Group and the Honeynet Project. Additionally, he has spoken at numerous international conferences and to the media as subject matter expert.

Adli has an MSc Computer Science in Software Engineering and was a recipient of the Asia Pacific ISC2 Leadership Achievements (ISLA) 2009 in the IT Security Practitioner category.


Derrick Ng, Regional Sales Manager, Check Point Software Technologies, Singapore

Derrick Ng is the Regional Sales Manager responsible for building and increasing the Check Point business in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. He works closely with the Check Point Partners in these countries to increase the awareness of the latest security issues and the Check Point approach to combating the latest threats.

Derrick is a well-known security advocate and veteran. Derrick has more than 10 years of IT industry experience, helping government, telecommunications and commercial companies with their networks.


Eric Lam, Sales Director Enterprise, Symantec Protection Suites, Symantec APJ Specialist Group



Eric Lam joined Symantec, the world’s leading Security and Availability software company, in July 2005. As Sales Director Enterprise for Symantec Protection Suites, Symantec APJ Specialists Group, he is responsible for Symantec’s portfolio of Endpoint, Gateway and Server Security & Protection Suites.  His work involves developing new business, as well as promoting Security & Management Best Practices and Technology Adoption Strategies in large enterprises throughout the Asia Pacific region.  Eric has more than 10 years of experience in Enterprise IT Solutions, and another 9 years as an IT end-user.

Mr. Lam earned his undergraduate degree at The National University of Singapore’s Department of Electrical Engineering and his Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore’s Graduate School of Business. 


Anthony Turco, Vice President, Identity and Security, Novell Asia Pacific

Anthony Turco is responsible for product development, marketing and strategy for the Identity and Security Management business unit across the Asia Pacific Region at Novell.

Anthony has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry specialising in IT Security for a range of industries and customers. His technical expertise is in the areas of Identity and Access Management, Digital Rights Management where he has authored multiple patent applications, Network, and Applications-based Security and Systems Management. Most recently, he has been involved in large scale government smart card projects, and the convergence of physical and logical access.

Anthony possesses a strong executive management background, having founded three independent high technology startup businesses prior to joining Novell. Prior to his entrepreneurial activities, he was with Computer Associates where he ran the Advanced Technology Group for Australia, New Zealand and India. Anthony earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons Cum Laude) from Old Dominion University in Virginia, US


Filippo Cassini, Vice President, Systems Engineering, EMEA and APAC, Fortinet 

Filippo Cassini has more than a decade of experience in the network security industry. He currently holds the position of VP, Systems Engineering for EMEA and APAC. He covered Engineering positions in EMEA for Fortinet and previously for a pan-european security distributor. Filippo has extensive experience in product development and since 2005 manages Fortinet's consulting team with a focus in large enterprise and ISPs.


Jonathan Andresen, Director of Product Marketing, Asia Pacific, Blue Coat Systems

Jonathan Andresen is Director of Product Marketing at Blue Coat Systems, Asia-Pacific. Jonathan has been working in the telecommunications sector since 1996 and relocated to Asia in 2003. Prior to joining Blue Coat Systems, Jonathan held various marketing, strategy and business development management positions in Nortel’s Wireless and Optical Business Units. Jonathan’s career includes positions with Teleglobe, MetroPhotonics and Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Jonathan holds a Master's Degree of International Management from Carleton University in Canada. Located in Bangkok, he also serves as the Vice-President of the Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce.


Kunaciilan Nallappan, Senior Product Marketing Manager, F5 Networks

 

Kuna is the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Asia-Pacific in F5, where he is responsible for the key product marketing strategies and programs to increase F5 brand awareness and market penetration in the Asia-Pacific region. He is responsible for driving all product marketing programs including the launch of new products as well as the overall go to market for F5’s application delivery solutions and the APAC spokesperson for analysts and media. Prior to joining F5, Kuna was the APAC product marketing manager in EMC and Citrix. At Citrix, he was leading the product marketing for their application delivery solutions in the Pacific region, where he was responsible for the key go to market strategies for the application networking product lines. Kuna has more than 15 years experience in the IT and telecommunications industry having done sales, channel & product management and marketing.  Kuna holds an Engineering Degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a MBA from Nanyang Business School, Singapore.

 


Bryan Sat, Business Development Manager - SaaS/Cloud Services, SEA Region, Kaspersky Lab

Bryan Sat is the Business Development Manager for Kaspersky Lab, an international information security software vendor specialising in exposing, analyzing and neutralizing IT threats. A graduate from Staffordshire University with an honours degree in Computing Technology, he has 10 years’ experience and knowledge in IT Security. At Kaspersky Lab, he is specialised in Hosted Security Service and plays a fundamental role in growing the business in the Southeast Asia region.


Clarence Phua, Director, Sales, South Asia & Korea, Sophos

Clarence Phua joined Sophos in 2002 as a Business Development Manager for Philippines. In 2004, Clarence was promoted to the role of Sales Manager for Philippines and Thailand. As of 2006, Clarence’s role had been expanded to include the sales and marketing operations of Indonesia and Vietnam. Prior to joining Sophos, Clarence had worked in a local system integrator, Infonet Systems & Services as their Account Manager. By implementing key sales strategies, Clarence has continued to grow the sales and the number of channel partners in the ASEAN region.  Clarence was promoted to the role of Regional Sales Manager for ASEAN in 2009 and Director, Sales for South Asia & Korea. Clarence holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems from the National University of Singapore.
